After a successful four-year career as a player, Emily Wilson now joins the Mizzou volleyball staff as the program's operations coordinator. The Omaha, Neb. native competed for the Tigers from 2011-14, and was a part of one of the most successful senior classes in program history.
Beginning in 2011, Wilson and her fellow senior class members helped Mizzou qualify for the NCAA Tournament, being the youngest team in the field of 64. They were also key contributors in the 2013 season's 35-1, SEC Championship team.
In all, the Class of 2014 trio put together a 91-43 record in their four seasons, qualifying for a pair of NCAA Tournaments with an SEC Championship. The 91 wins are second to only the class of 2013 in modern program history.
Wilson's individual career included becoming the 14th Tiger to go over 1,000 career kills, and finished second among active SEC players in career kills at the conclusion of her Mizzou career. The outside hitter career honors included 2011 All-Big 12 Freshman Team, two-time Big 12 Newcomer of the Week in 2011, and Tiger Invite All-Tournament Team.
