2023-24 (Senior)

  • SEC Community Service Team 
  • Overall record of 16-13 in singles play, competing primarily at the No. 2, including a 9-6 record in tournament play
  • Posted a 2-4 singles record in SEC matches and went 2-0 against nationally ranked opponents
  • Defeated No. 80 Ekate Khairutdinova of FIU during the fall FIU Invitational (Jan. 10-12) and No. 36 Catherine Aulia of Tennessee (April 11)
  • Opened spring dual play with five wins in her first six completed matches, including back-to-back wins over South Dakota and Northern Illinois (Jan. 19)
  • Went 17-12 in doubles across the season, including an 8-4 tournament tally
  • Captured 12 doubles wins with partner Korina Roso, including victories over FIU (6-1), Houston (6-0) and Colorado State (6-0)
  • Paired with Andrea Artimedi in the second half of the season, earning a notable 6-2 doubles win over Texas A&M (March 14) and a 6-0 shutout of Florida (March 21)

2023-24 (Junior)

  • SEC Spring Honor Roll
  • Combined for a 4-12 record in the No. 2 singles slot and was 10-11 in doubles matches, playing in the one slot with sister Mae Canete
  • The Canete pairing was invited to and competed in the ITA Fall Championship, where they advanced to the round of 16 before falling to the No. 1 doubles team in the country, Elizabeth Scotty and Reese Brantmeier of North Carolina
  • Competed in the ITA Central Regional Championship, where the Canete duo secured a spot in the semifinals 
  • Began the preseason ranked No. 32 in the ITA Doubles Rankings with M. Canete and peaked at No. 16 
  • Won against SEC opponent Mississippi State with her sister on court one in a dominant 6-1 effort

2022-23 (Sophomore)

  • Was second on the team with 11 singles victories.
  • Went 11-6 in doubles matches with sister Mae, beating two nationally ranked doubles squads along the way.
  • Added two doubles victories with Laura Masic and Gabriela Martinez.
  • Handed Mizzou one of its three ranked singles victories this season, defeating No. 88 Maria Rizzolo of Mississippi State.
  • Won her only match in the two spot, while going 4-2 in the three spot.

BEFORE MIZZOU

  • Christine Canete, who also goes by Inah, joins the Tigers after a dominating freshman season at Central Oklahoma.
  • Canete was one of four freshman nationally to earn DII All-America honors after posting a 19-2 record.
  • She finished her freshman season ranked No. 8 in the ITA Singles Top 25 and earned ITA Central Region Freshman of the Year. Canete was also the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Freshman of the Year.
  • The Canete sisters also earned Doubles All-America honors in 2022, after dominating the season with a 22-2 doubles record.
  • They finished the year as the No. 1 ranked doubles team in the country and won the 2021 ITA Doubles National Championship.
