Ana Menendez Nava joined the University of Missouri Athletic Performance Staff as assistant athletic performance coach in July 2022. She works directly with Women’s Soccer, Diving and Women’s Golf. During her first year, she worked directly with Track & Field, Cross Country, Cheerleading and Women’s Volleyball, as well as assisting with Women’s Soccer and other Olympic sport programs.
Previously, Menendez was a graduate assistant at Florida State University where she worked with the cheerleading and dance teams, and assisted with men’s and women’s swimming, track & field, beach volleyball, women’s volleyball and women’s soccer. During her time at FSU, she earned a master's degree in sports science.
Menendez was a four-year, student-athlete at the University of South Carolina as part of the swimming & diving team from 2016-20. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a minor in business administration. She also completed an internship with the sports performance staff during her senior year.
The native of Pola de Siero, Spain, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Functional Movement Screening Certified (FMS), Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition and CPR/AED certified.
