In his third season with the Mizzou soccer program is Director of Operations John Hawks. Hawks spent his first year with the Tigers as the team’s volunteer assistant coach before transitioning over to the operations side in 2017.

As the director of operations, Hawkshelps with all facets of the day-to-day aspects of the program and spearheads the team’s travel and gameday operations.

In addition to his work with the Tigers, Hawks works as a licensed loan officer at Veterans United Home Loans in Columbia. He previously spent time at MBS Direct, Rocket Sports Poperties and Gannet Publishing.  

Hawks also currently serves as an assistant coach for the boys and girls soccer teams at Muriel Battle High School in Columbia and has also been a National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association sanctioned referee since 2014 and a Missouri State High School Activities Association referee since 2011. He refereed for the 2014 American Midwest Conference women’s postseason matches and the 2015 American Midwest Conference men’s postseason games.

A Columbia, Missouri, native, Hawks earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Missouri in 2006.
