Devin Perez

Perez returned as a member of the Mizzou women’s basketball staff in October of 2022. He previously spent two seasons with the Tigers as a graduate assistant while getting his master’s degree at the university from 2017-19.

Perez aids the staff with key duties including camps coordination, player development, basketball operations, scouting and video coordination.

In addition, he plays a vital role in NIL operations for the team, providing guidance and communicating best practices for student-athletes.

The return to Mizzou comes after two seasons as a member of the Marquette women’s basketball staff. At Marquette, he was responsible for developing scouting reports, assisting in day-to-day practice and game operations, travel organization, post-season player development, recruiting coordination, and community engagement planning.

In his previous stint with the Tigers, Perez assisted the director in planning and executing summer camps in addition to organizing and creating recruiting mailings. He also assisted in the team's graphics and content creation. 

Prior to his graduate assistant role, Perez started Next Up Basketball Camps in Tulsa, Okla. in January of 2017 and held camps for two summers.

In 2018. Perez coached two MOKAN Basketball Club youth teams while assisting with private instruction and camps.

Perez spent three years playing collegiate basketball at Ottawa University (2015-17). He transferred to Ottawa after his sophomore year at Clarendon Junior College, where he played baseball for one year after taking a medical redshirt as a freshman. 

Perez averaged five points per game and shot nearly 40% from beyond the arc as a senior. He was also a career 90% free-throw shooter.
