Junior (Spring 2006):Finished the year with a 13-15 overall record, with those 13 victories giving her 59 for her career (eighth place in career singles wins at Mizzou) Enjoyed a 9-11 mark in the spring ... Opened the spring playing in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 spots and moved to No. 1 following a season-ending injury to Hana Kraftova ... Went 5-8 at No. 1 singles ... Earned her first conference win at No. 1 against Oklahoma State's Iryna Tkachenko ... Also collected wins at No. 1 against Montana State's Nuria Hernandez Lozano, Kat Bushey of Air Force, Iowa State's Jill Palen and Amanda Hellberg of Saint Louis ... Junior (Fall 2005): In the fall...Olshanskaya and Josbena finished third in doubles competition in the Mizzou Three Way Tournament, going 2-1 in three matches...In singles action, Olshanskaya defeated Illinois State's Katri Miller 6-7 (8), 4-6, (10-4)..She also defeated. Katerina Lozanova of SLU 6-1, 4-6 (7)...Olshanskaya teamed with Josbena to beat K State's Simosa and DeValte in the Mizzou Mock Duals...In singles action, she defeated Danielle Uscinski of Iowa State 6-2, 3-6, 6-3... In the Wilson ITA Central Regional, Josbena and Olshanskaya def. Martina Sedevic and Geisy Torres of Colorado also in the round of 64.
Sophomore (Spring 2005): Went 21-14 on the season in singles competition and 13-18 in double play ... The 21 singles wins were 16th in Mizzou single-season history and pushed her career win mark to 39, which is 15th in the Mizzou annuals ... The 21 victories were also tops on the squad, while her 14 singles wins during the spring ranked second ... Opened the spring season with a three-set win over Anna Leksinka of Oregon and a straight sets triumph over Alison Wilke (6-2, 6-2) of Drake ... Earned her first Big 12 win of the season against Iowa State in straight sets and topped performers from Colorado and Kansas State ... Led Mizzou to an opening round upset win at the Big 12 Championships by claiming a three-set triumph over Lauren Simmons of Oklahoma State ... Also teamed with Erika Josbena to defeat the OSU tandem of Blajer and Collins to help the Tigers secure the doubles point ... Freshman (Spring 2004):Opened the spring season ranked #28 in the ITA Central Region...teamed with Erika Josbena winning at #2 doubles against #70 Oklahoma State...had a big singles win at the #5 spot against #49 Iowa...had two big singles and doubles wins in the Tigers win over Iowa State...clinched the Tigers win over Kansas with a 6-4, 6-4 singles win...recognized as Big 12 Conference Player of the Week the week of April 21 for her efforts against Iowa and Kansas...ended the season with a singles record of 18-12 and a doubles record of 10-10
Freshman (Fall 2003): Yelena Olshanskaya started the fall season well remaining undefeated in singles play during the Mizzou 4-way ... won the #4 singles flight during the Indiana Invitational ... participated in the Central Region Championships, winning three rounds in her first outing ...ended the fall season with a singles record of 12-1, and a doubles record of 4-4.
