- Breakout second-year campaign with the Tigers, earning NFCA First-Team Southeast All-Region honors and Second-Team All-SEC accolades
- Becomes one of 13 all-time Tiger individuals to receive NFCA Southeast All-Region honors. Also becomes one of 11 all-time Mizzou players to garner All-SEC recognition

- Dating back to the conclusion of the 2017 campaign and beginning with the 2018 season, put together impressive 24-game safely reached base streak and 14-game hitting streak
- The streaks ranked T-8th and T-7th longest individual streaks in program history, respectively
- Handled right-handed pitchers extremely well, hitting at a .328 (44-for-134) clip
- Was a fantastic table setter when leading off an inning, hitting .412 (21-for-51)

FRESHMAN (2017)
- Strong first-year campaign at Mizzou, hitting .298 with eight doubles, one triple, six home runs and 19 RBI
- Appeared in 52 total games with 50 starts
- Ended the 2017 campaign with season-best 10-game hitting streak and 10-game safely reached base streak
- Only one-of-three Tigers to record a double-digit hitting streak
- Eight total doubles ranked T-3rd on the Tigers' roster
- T-2nd on Mizzou with three home runs in SEC only action
- In conference play, her .518 slugging percentage ranked 12th-best in SEC
- Fared well consistently against RHP, hitting .313 (35-for-112) on the year
- Possessed the "clutch" gene at the plate for Mizzou, hitting .324 (11-for-34) with two outs
- Hit a pair of home runs in the Tigers' series win over No. 9 Alabama (March 31 - April 2)
- Blasted two home runs in Mizzou Tournament (March 3-5) in official first games at program's new stadium
- Delivered go-ahead RBI single vs. No. 7 Washington (Feb. 24), keying Tigers' 9-5 comeback victory
- Career day vs. South Dakota (Feb. 17) at Arizona State Littlewood Classic, earning three hit day and first career home run at Mizzou
- Possessed exceptional .441 (15-for-34) average when leading off an inning
- Finished with seven multi-hit games and three multi-RBI efforts at the plate
HIGH SCHOOL (SAUGUS)
- 2016 FloSoftball All-American honors
- 2016 PGF All-American
- 2016 California All-State honoree

- 2016 Saugus Most Valuable Offensive Player award
- In her 2014 sophomore season, earned First Team All-League, First Team All-SCV and Most Valuable Offensive Player honors
- Continued strong play in 2015, producing a .505 average with eight home runs and 28 RBI
- For her outstanding season, was named Second Team All-State, First Team All-Foothill League, First Team All-SCV and Most Valuable Offensive Player honors
- Also excelled in classroom at Saugus, achieving the 2015-16 and 2014-15 Sammy Scholar Athlete Award for academics
- Competed with So Cal Choppers club team under head coaches Dean Faucett and Bill Shipman
- Chose Mizzou over Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Ole Miss, Oregon State, South Carolina and Virginia
PERSONAL
- Majoring in Hospitality and Management
- Parents are Cory Kessinger and Michele Bodley. Also has step parents, Jamie Kessinger and Danny Bodley. Has two brothers, Ty Bodley and Caden Kessinger
- Outside of softball, Cayla enjoys taking pictures and planning events.

- "I chose Mizzou because it had everything I was looking for in a school in both academics and softball. I have always dreamt of playing and competing at the highest level and Mizzou has given me this opportunity."
