Katie McLean joined the University of Missouri as a sport psychology intern, assisting Dr. Rick McGuire, Director of Sport Psychology, in the fall of 2011. She then began a graduate assistantship with the Department of Educational, School and Counseling Psychology, assisting Dr. McGuire in creating the first-ever online Master's program in Positive Coaching.
For two years, Katie was a graduate assistant with the Total Person Program (TPP). She worked with Kim Lambert in Student-Athlete Development where she coordinated professional development workshops, organized honors and awards and assisted with social responsibility initiatives. Katie currently now serves as a graduate assistant in Mental Performance.
A proud native Texan, Katie graduated from the University of Kansas in 2011 with Bachelors degrees in both Sport Science and Psychology. She most recently completed a Master's degree at Mizzou in Educational, School and Counseling Psychology with a focus in Sport and Career Psychology. She is now currently working towards her Ph.D. in Health Education and Promotion, with focus in Sport Psychology.
Katie is the oldest of two children and the daughter of Mike and Diane McLean, who currently reside in Overland Park, Kan.
