2011-12 (JUNIOR): Placed seventh in the 100 back (50.00) at the Big 12 Championships ... Won the 200 back against Drury in a time of 1:50.74 ... Finished fourth in the 100 back against Denver and Northwestern ... Took top honors in the 100 back (50.93) against Minnesota ... Came in second in the 200 back (1:47.31) at the Mizzou Invite ... At the Southwest Plunge, finished fourth in the 200 back ... Finished second in the 75 back in the Show-Me Showdown.
2010-11 (SOPHOMORE): At the Big 12 Championships, took seventh in the 200 back with a 1:47.05 ... Placed second in the 200 back (1:50.56) and third in the 100 free (1:41.45) against Drury ... Earned two third-place finishes against Minnesota ... Placed third in the 200 back at the Mizzou Invite.
2009-10 (FRESHMAN) - Performed well as a freshman in the Big 12 Championships... Earned his way into the consolation bracket of the 200 back championship (1:50.68)... Placed fifth in the 200 fly (1:51.47)... Also won the consolation heat for the 100 back (50.15)... was a member of the 800 free relay team that placed third and secured the second-best time in Missouri history (6:33.79)...
HIGH SCHOOL - Has been swimming competitively for 10 years...holds Wichita Swim Club records in the 100 back stroke and 200 back stroke...competed in Junior Naionals in 2007-2009...competed in Short Course Nationals in 2008...attended Valley Center High School.
PERSONAL - Ryan Sellers is the son of Mark and Shannon Sellers...has three siblings, Justin (23), Cameron (21) and Krista (15)...Justin is a former MU swimmer and Cameron is currently on the MU swim team...major is undecided.
