Cross Country-Shannon competed in two meets during the fall, starting with the Arkansas v. Missouri Dual in Fayetteville, Ark., where he was the Tigers' 12th finisher...He went on to finish 13th for the team, 207th overall, at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn., navigating the 8000-meter course in 26:58.20.

Indoor Track - Shannon's first meet on the track was at home during the Missouri Opener, when he doubled-up with the mile and 3000-meter runs...He followed that up with a 25-second improvement in the 3000-meters at the Badger Open in Madison, Wisc., where he placed eighth in the field with a final time of 8:55.81...Followed that up with another PR in the event at the Missouri Invitational, taking seventh in 8:51.86...Shannon closed the season with one final PR, this time in the mile run, with his 10th-place finish at the Collegiate Challenge (4:29.12).

Outdoor Track - Shannon focused his efforts on the 3000-meter Steeplechase during the outdoor season, kicking off with a PR performance during his first meet, the Crimson Tide Invitational, where he placed fifth in 9:28.48...Shannon closed his season at the Mt. SAC Relays with a 15th-place performance in the 3000-meter Steeplechase.

2012-13

Cross Country- Redshirted the cross country season...Ran unattached at the Iowa State Invitational, where he finished 44th overeall in 26:52...Bested that time at the Gary Stoner Invitational, taking 12th in 26:07.94

Indoor Track-Redshirted the indoor season...Competed unattached at the Missouri Invitational, finishing the 3000-metersin 9:03.04

Outdoor Track-Redshirted the outdoor season...Competed unattached at the Missouri Relays in the 3000-meter Steeplechase and 1500-meters...Finished third in the Steeplechase with a final time of 9:32.80...Went on to compete at the USATF Junior Championships in the Steeplechase, placing ninthoverall in 9:46.39
