Indoor Track - Joe competed in three meets during the indoor season, starting with the Rod McCravy Memorial in Lexington, Ky., where he crossed the line in 8:54.07 for the 3000-meter run...Ran a PR of 14:44.74 in the 5000-meter run at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., placing eighth in the field...He finished the season at the SEC Championships in College Station, Tx., where he competed in the 5000-meter run.

Outdoor Track - Started the season at the Crimson Tide Invitational, where he ran a PR of 14:44.21 in the 5000-meter run, taking sixth-place in the field...Went back-to-back with another 5000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays, then his only 1500-meter run of the season at the Beach Invitational (3:58.79), which closed his year.

Cross Country -Joe Started his Tiger career as the 10th man in for the squadat the Iowa State Invitational, finishing 27th overall in 26:14...Bested that time at the Greater Louisville Classic, finishing eighthfor the Tigers and 81st overall in 25:05.19...Was the secondrunner in for the black and gold in the "B" race at the Adidas Wisconsin Invitational, crossing in 25:12...Ended his season with a PR at the SEC Championships in Nashville, Tenn., crossing in 24:50.64 to end at 32nd overall and make the All-SEC Freshman Team.

Indoor Track- Redshirted the season...Competed unattached at the Missouri Invitational, placing fifth in the 3000-meter run (8:43.03)...Also ran unattached at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, crossing in 4:24.84 for fourth in the mile.

Outdoor Track- Redshirted the season...Competed unattached at the Missouri Relays, running 14:33.96 in the 5000-meter run and 4:02.84 in the 1500-meter run.

Joe competed for Madison Edgewood HS under coaches Jim Hanson and Tim Goers...CROSS COUNTRY...He was a two-time WIAA All-State finisher, placing 12th in 2010 and third in 2011...Two-time Badger South Conference Champion (2010-11)...TRACK & FIELD...Was the 2012 WIAA State Champion for 1600-meters (4:13.74), and runner-up in the 3200-meter run (9:27.79)...Broke the indoor 3200-meter Record for the Madison All-City Indoor Championships (9:20.50)...2012 Indoor WTFA State runner-up in the 1600-meters (4:19.68)...WIAA State runner-up in 3200-meters (9:53.29).
