Chris Perrin joined the University of Missouri athletic training staff in November 2021 following a six-year stint at Detroit-Mercy. He is now in his fifth season as senior athletic trainer with the men’s basketball program.

In his first four years with the Tigers, Perrin has worked with a team that has earned two bids to the NCAA Tournament with five players signing NBA contracts following their graduation. Additional highlights include Mizzou earning its most victories in 11 years during the 2022-23 campaign and advancing to the SEC Tournament semifinals for the first time since joining the league, while, most recently, the team posted three top-five wins during the 2024-25 campaign for the first time since 1988-89.

At Detroit-Mercy, Perrin served as the men's basketball trainer in addition to men's and women's golf. He started his time at Detroit-Mercy as a graduate assistant, working with women's soccer, tennis and golf.

Perrin has a wealth of basketball training experience, previously working with the Developmental Basketball Team in China, as well as an intern with the Utah Jazz.

Perrin graduated from Michigan State in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training and a specialization in health promotions. He then received his master's in health service administration from Detroit-Mercy in 2017.Â
