Tarrance Crump

Tarrance Crump

Tarrance Crump begins his first season as a Graduate Assistant at Mizzou after spending the last five seasons as a Division I assistant coach, with stops at both SIUE and SEMO.

Crump spent the 2019-20 campaign on Rick Ray's staff at SEMO after serving as an assistant at SIUE for four years from 2015-19.

Crump's relationship with Mizzou head coach Cuonzo Martin goes all the way back to his playing days as a standout guard for the Purdue Boilermakers from 2006-08, when Martin was an assistant on Matt Painter's staff. Crump and the Boilermakers won 47 games during his two seasons and advanced to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament each year.

Prior to his stops at SIUE and SEMO, Crump served as Martin's Assistant Director of Operations at California during the 2014-15 campaign. While at Cal, Crump was involved in many facets of the Bears' program. He was responsible for film breakdown following games, assisted with scouting reports, served as the staff liaison to the academic advisor, managed basketball camps, and organized community service events for the student-athletes.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Crump handled many of the same duties during the 2013-14 season as an intern on Martin's staff at Tennessee. He was on staff when the Volunteers advanced to the NCAA Tournament and won a school-record three games en route to reaching the Sweet 16.

Crump was the head boy's basketball coach at Vine Middle School during the 2012-2013 season and the head women's basketball coach at North Lawndale College Prep in 2011-2012 where his team won 20 games, while also achieving the highest team grade point average in school history.

Crump is married to the former Tave' Johhnson.Â
