Vision out of the backfield caught the attention of Mizzou’s coaches, as well as his toughness and physicality … back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons for Manatee High School and head coach Joe Kinnan, including a 1,704-yard senior season in 2013 with 15 total touchdowns … senior campaign aided Manatee on its journey to a second-straight undefeated regular season and district title … rushed for 1,119 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior in 2012 … earned local offensive player of the year recognitions from the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and Bradenton Herald following his senior season … earned Florida Class 8A Second Team All-State recognition following his 2013 campaign … rated as the No. 16 all-purpose running back in the nation by Rivals.com.
