2017 OUTLOOK
Promising rush end who has the size and ability to be a mainstay in the lineup and be one of the next disruptive linemen as part of #DLineZou ... Looks to compete for a starting spot after closing the previous season in strong fashion, and putting together a strong spring camp ... Closed spring ball by making a pair of sacks as part of a three-tackle day in the annual Black & Gold Spring Game.
2016 SEASON
Worked his way back into Mizzou’s defensive line rotation late in the season, playing in four games, totaling three tackles (two solo) with a half sack …Posted an assisted tackle for a loss of three yards and a pass breakup against Vanderbilt … notched a solo tackle against Arkansas (11/25).
2015 SEASON
One of eight true freshmen who impressed the Mizzou coaches enough to see playing time in 2015 … Tallied 12 tackles (five solo) with two tackles-for-loss and a pass break-up on the season …  Had three two-tackle performances on the season with the first coming in the season-opener against SEMO (Sept. 5) … Also tallied 1.5 tackles for loss in that game … Also tallied pair of tackles at Georgia (Oct. 17) and vs. Mississippi State (Nov. 5) … Had one tackle with a half tackle-for-loss in the season finale at Arkansas (Nov. 27).Â
HIGH SCHOOL
A long, athletic prospect who plays with a great motor, his enthusiasm for the game and competition is what stood out to the Mizzou coaching staff … A three-star recruit by Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports and Scout.com … First Team All-State, First Team All-Metro in St. Louis, who was named his conference’s defensive player of the year in each of his final two seasons … Ranked as the No. 8 recruit in the state of Missouri by Scout.com and the top defensive line prospect in the state … Was dubbed as the 10th-best prospect in the state by Rivals, which also tabbed him as the No. 39 prospect nationally at weakside defensive end …  In 2014, amassed 80 tackles, including 17 tackles for loss and 10 quarterback sacks … As a junior, he tallied 70 tackles, 4.5 sacks and four fumble recoveries … Ranked as the No. 69 defensive line recruit nationally by Scout.com as well …  High School Coach – Mike Tarpey …

Parents – Shunda Nichols (mother) & Anthony Headd (step-father) … Chose Mizzou over offers from Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Syracuse among others … Said that the genuine caring relationship he built with Mizzou coaches was a primary factor in choosing to be a Tiger, and the program’s proven track record of developing success on and off the field … Is interested in majoring in sports management at Mizzou … Lists a few of his hobbies outside of football as basketball, working out, playing video games, movies and hanging with friends.
