2019 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll

2020 (Senior): SEC Academic Honor Roll … Earned a scholarship from the Mizzou staff ahead of the Music City Bowl game … Played in all 10 games with 1 start at safety in 2020 … Also a special teams contributor … Made first career start at Mississippi State (12/19/20) where he had a career-best 4 tackles and recovered a fumble … Blocked a punt against No. 12/10 Georgia (12/12/20) that Mizzou recovered on the Bulldogs' 2-yard line to set up a TD … Had 2 tackles, including 1.0 TFL, against Vanderbilt (11/28/20)

2019 (Junior): Special teams contributor who saw game action against Southeast Missouri (9/14).

2018 (Sophomore): Did not see game action in his second year in the program, but continued to provide valuable contributions during the season as part of the defensive scout team ... Made such a good impression on the Tiger coaching staff that he was awarded with the team's Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year Award at the annual season-ending team banquet for his efforts ... Closed 2019 spring camp out in style as he led the Gold squad with eight tackles, and also made an interception, in the 2019 Black & Gold Spring Game.

2017 (Freshman): Joined the Mizzou program for his first year, and did not see game action ... Served as a valuable member of the defensive scout team throughout the season.

Personal: Son of Ryan and Lezlie Norris … earned his bachelor’s degree in general studies in fall of 2020 … enrolled in the post-baccalaureate program ... named Mid-Missouri Defensive Player of the Year … three-time all-district honoree, two-time all-state honoree, four-time academic all-state honoree … career goal is to be the head engineer for an architecture company … his father, Ryan Norris, played baseball at Southern Illinois.
