Athletic rookie defensive back who played in eight games overall, including one start on the year ... Made eight tackles in all on the season, with one pass break-up added in ... Recorded six solo tackles against Missouri State (9/2) … Started the season opener against Missouri State, becoming the first Mizzou true freshman to start the season opener on defense since Justin Smith in 1998 ... Later in the season, got in the mix for two tackles in the Homecoming win over Idaho (10/21).

Field general in the secondary who has great leadership and physical skills … Loves to hit opposing ball carriers, and plays well in space after converting from linebacker early in his prep career … Has good length and height with good speed and is able to cover ground quickly on the back end … Displays good ball skills and has an exciting upside as he continues to develop in Mizzou’s athletic performance program … As a senior in 2016 was among team leaders with 83 total tackles, and added nine pass break-ups, four interceptions and four tackles for loss … High school coach: Jermain Crowell ….
