Joined Mizzou as part of Barry Odom's first-ever recruiting class in February of 2016 ... A playmaker who uses his superior instincts to play the game with elite quickness … A consensus three-star recruit by all the major recruiting services, Alton ranks as the No. 17 prospect in the state of Missouri by ESPN and Rivals … Ranked as the No. 3 corner in Missouri and the No. 126 corner nationally by Scout.com … A two-way player at Kirkwood High School at both running back and corner under head coach Matt Irvin and Farrell Shelton … Led Kirkwood to an 11-2 record, a conference championship and a district championship after going 4-0 in district play … Was sensational on both sides of the ball, running for 1,116 yards and 10 touchdowns while catching eight passes for 47 yards … Posted 26 tackles on defense with a pair of interceptions and also returned kicks for Kirkwood … Alvin Miller Leadership Award honoree … First team All-Conference defensive back, first team All-Conference running back and Kirkwood’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2015 … Second team All-Metro running back and second team All-State running back in 2014 … Played at the same high school as former Mizzou Athletics Hall of Fame member and current Kansas City Chief WR Jeremy Maclin … Plans to major in marketing with a minor in education … Enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing basketball and working out when away from football … Cited his relationship with Cornell Ford and Coach Odom along with Mizzou’s beautiful campus and the fact that all of the current players treated him like family as the primary reasons that he chose Mizzou … Primary recruiter: Cornell Ford … Chose Mizzou over offers from Arkansas State, Illinois, Iowa and Syracuse.
