Rushed eight times for 41 yards against Missouri State (9/2)…Rushed 12 times for 72 yards including a 20 yard rush, each of which are season highs, against South Carolina (9/9).
2017 OUTLOOK
Proven and dependable performer in the backfield who gives Mizzou one of the SEC’s top 1-2 running back punches ... Can put his head down and get the tough yards, and has also proven to be very valuable in pass pro, as well as being a viable receiving option out of the backfield.
2016 SEASON
Finished the season with a career-high 750 yards on the ground on 162 carries (4.6 avg.) and six touchdowns while playing in all 12 games (10 starts) … Rushed for 61 yards on 13 carries in Mizzou’s home opener against Eastern Michigan (9/10) … Rushed for a season-high 76 yards on 25 carries in Mizzou’s SEC opener against Georgia (9/17) … Also had a key first-down catch on Mizzou’s opening drive against Georgia that set up the game’s first touchdown ... Ran the ball nine times for 40 yards and a score against Delaware State (9/23) … Ran 11 times for 48 yards and hauled in one pass for 19 yards at LSU (10/1) … Posted a season-high 82 yards on 15 carries with a fourth-quarter score at Florida (10/15), also breaking off a season-high 19-yard run in that game ... Posted his first career 100-yard game, rushing for 121 yards on 19 attempts (6.4 avg.) against Middle Tennessee (10/22) … Teamed with RB Damarea Crockett to become the first Mizzou duo to each post 100 yards rushing since 2013 against Murray State … Caught one pass for six yards against Middle Tennessee as well ... Ran five times for 11 yards and added a catch against Kentucky (10/29) … Ran 11 times for 80 yards and a 25-yard score at South Carolina (11/5) ... Tallied his first career multi-TD game at Tennessee (11/19) as he ran for a career-best 163 yards on the ground in that game … Carried the ball five times in the season finale against Arkansas (11/25) before missing the majority of the game with an injury.
2015 SEASON
Reset career-highs in rushes (126), yards (518) and scored one touchdown on the ground while also hauling in career-highs in catches (15) and receiving yards (143) … Just missed a 100-yard outing against South Carolina (Oct. 3) with a career-high 98 yards on the ground on 17 carries while tallying his only rushing TD of the year … Had 81 yards on 12 carries against Mississippi State (Nov. 5) … Had 34 yards on 13 rushes and 57 yards on two catches in Mizzou’s win over BYU (Nov. 14) … Had 61 yards on 12 carries over his final two games (vs. Tennessee Nov. 21 and at Arkansas Nov. 28).
2014 SEASON
Emerged as the Tigers’ No. 3 running back as a true freshman, seeing action in 12 games ... Ran the ball 27 times for 101 yards, averaging 3.7 yards per carry ... His best game came at Texas A&M (Nov. 15) when he ran for 34 yards on four attempts (8.5 per carry) while scoring a touchdown from 16 yards out in the 3rd quarter, the first of his career ... Had a pair of carries, amassing 12 total yards in the Citrus Bowl win over Minnesota.
HIGH SCHOOL
Possesses eye-catching shifting and cutting ability which caught the attention of Mizzou’s coaching staff … found the end zone throughout his career at Alonso High School for head coach Brian Emanuel, scoring 28 rushing touchdowns as a Raven … totaled 850 rushing yards and 10 scores on the ground as a senior in 2013, earning first team all-conference recognition for the second-straight year … rushed for 902 yards and six touchdowns as a junior in 2012, all while battling through a late season ankle injury … also participated in track and field at Alonso.
PERSONAL
Father – Delroy Witter … chose Mizzou over Marshall, Ohio, Rutgers and Syracuse, among others … plans to major in criminal justice at the University of Missouri … enjoys reading in his spare time … noted how beautiful Mizzou’s campus was during his visit, along with the family-oriented atmosphere instilled by the Tigers’ coaches and players.
