2006 SEASON
An excellent athlete and physical specimen out of the state of Texas who is the younger brother of former Tiger DB Calvin Washington ... Spent his first year in the program at defensive back, but moved to linebacker for the spring practice period, and has seen action in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman ... Enters the bowl game listed at No. 3 on the depth chart at weakside linebacker ... Has been a standout on special teams coverage units, recording 6 tackles on the kickoff coverage team, and has added 1 stop on punt coverage ... Has made a tackle in 10-of-12 games this season, including season highs of 2 tackles against Murray State, Colorado, Texas A&M and Oklahoma ... Had 1 tackle at Texas Tech and forced a fumble on a kickoff ... Had a very impressive spring camp and appeared capable of making contributions during the season ... Has worked hard in the weight room to add 20 pounds to his frame since he came to campus ... Changed his number to 11 after wearing 17 his first year in the program.

2005 SEASON
Redshirt season ... Spent his initial season in the program working in the strength program and as part of the defensive scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a two-time all-district selection ... Ranked as the No. 55 cornerback prospect in the nation, according to Rivals.com, and the same outlet ranks him among the top 100 players in the state of Texas ... Has great speed, strength and size and could play a number of different positions should he wind up in the Tiger secondary ... Played linebacker, defensive back and some running back for Lancaster High School ... Returned an interception 90 yards for a TD as a senior in 2004 ... Also played baseball and ran track for Lancaster ... High school coach - Andrew Jackson.

Son of Calvin Sr. & Sheila Washington ... Older brother, Calvin, is a former four-year DB on the Tiger squad ... Chose MU over Colorado, Texas A&M, Washington State, Kansas and TCU, among others ... Lists hobbies as music, working out and shopping.
