2016

  • Enjoyed a breakout senior season as he led the SEC in extra-base hits (34) while leading the nation in triples (eight).
  • Semifinalist for the Gregg Olson Award, which goes to college baseball’s top breakout player … He entered the season as a .229 career hitter with just 17 career extra-base hits before resetting career-highs in batting, hits, doubles, triples, homers, extra-base hits, slugging, OBP, RBI and runs.
  • Ranked in the SEC’s top 10 in seven offensive categories at the end of the regular season and led Mizzou in batting (.332), hits (71), doubles (18), triples (eight), homers (eight), RBI (54), total bases (129), slugging (.603), runs (44) and extra-base hits (34).
  • Led the team with 11 hit-by-pitches.
  • His 18 doubles, 54 RBI and 34 extra-base hits were the most by a Tiger since Big 12 Player of the Year Aaron Senne in 2010 … His eight triples were the most at Mizzou since 1994 and are the fourth-most in a single season at Mizzou.
  • Nearly half of his team-leading 71 hits went for extra-bases and he averaged 0.61 extra-base hits per contest, the best single season average at Mizzou since Senne in 2010.
  • He saw no drop off in his numbers during SEC play despite going against the nation’s best pitching for 10 weekends … He hit .322 in SEC play with eight of his 18 doubles, five of his eight triples and five of his eight homers … He also tallied 28 of his 54 RBI in 30 SEC games and slugged .602.
  • Drove in a team-best six RBIs in Mizzou’s win over Missouri State on April 26, the most RBI by a Mizzou player since 2010 (Eric Garcia against Purdue).
  • Hit Mizzou’s first grand slam since 2010 (also Eric Garcia vs. Purdue) on his senior day in a 5-0 win over SEC East rival Georgia (5/14).
  • Walked a team-best three times vs. Youngstown State (3/12), a career-best total.
  • Led Mizzou with 19 two-out RBI on the year, hit .299 with runners in scoring position and .351 with runners on base.
  • Reached base at a .429 clip when leading off an inning, second-best on the team.
  • Tied for the team-lead with 19 multi-hit games and led the team with 13 multi-RBI games … He had a team-high eight games with three hits.
  • Had a triple in three consecutive games from April 3-April 7 (at Arkansas, vs. SIUE and vs. Auburn).
  • Had a double in four consecutive games from April 12-April17 at Missouri State and in all three games vs. LSU … That was part of a stretch in which he slugged 14 extra-base hits in a 14-game span (April 2-April 26).
  • Had five RBI against Youngstown State with a double, homer and a walk (3/11).
  • Owned the longest hitting streak by a Tiger in 2016 (11 games) and the longest streak reaching base safely (20 games) as well.
  • Grounded into just two double plays all season despite leading Mizzou with 114 at-bats with runners on base.

2015

  • Hit .238 with 27 runs and 30 RBI, driving 16 extra-base hits (nine doubles, three triples and four homers. 
  • Finished second on the team with 11 stolen bases
  • Ended the season on a five-game hitting streak
  • Tied for team lead with three triples
  • Posted an impressive .981 fielding percentage in nearly 600 chances
  • Big RBI guy from sixth spot in lineup; drove in 30 runs while batting .351 with runners in scoring position – his .351 clip was second on the team
  • Was the first Tiger to hit multiple homers in a game since Blake Brown on March 14, 2012 – Lavy hit two homers against No. 4 Florida in a 10-1 win (4/4).

2014

  • Lavy made appearances in 21 games in 2014 for the Tigers, starting 16 of them.
  • Recorded eight RBI's in 56 at bats, along with 10 walks and a .318 on-base percentage.

BEFORE MIZZOU

  • Played last season at Jefferson College in Festus, Mo., before transferring to Mizzou for the 2014 campaign. 
  • Saw action in 47 games along the Jefferson College infield, batting .296 with three homers and 31 RBI. He also scored 29 runs and swiped five bags. 
  • Boasted an OBP of .356 and slugged .441 but was sensational in 18 conference games, batting .359 with 17 RBI.
  • He slugged .547 in league play with eight extra-base hits, including five doubles, two triples and a homer. 
  • Had just eight errors all season while playing all 47 games on the infield.
