2010: Got her first start of the year against Virginia Tech at the NFCA Leadoff Classic and went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. The next day, White went 1-for-1 and scored twice against Louisiana-Lafayette. She followed that up by going 2-for-2 against UMass, scoring a run and ripping her first double of the season. Against UMKC, she picked up three hits and an RBI while touching home twice and stealing two bags. Doubled in Mizzou's lone run against Ball State on March 19. Had back-to-back two hit games on April 21-22. In the second game of the Iowa State doubleheader, White singled, walked twice, drove in a run and scored twice. The following day against Central Methodist she stole a personal best three bases in one game. Singled home two runs in the regular season home finale against Baylor.
2009: Shana White recorded the second most stolen bases on the Tiger softball team in 2009, managing 30 successful swipes on the year. In six of Missouri's games, White stole two bases. Appearing in 43 games, White made 28 starts splitting her time between left field (12), center field (10), right field (four) and designated hitter (two). White averaged .481 batting leadoff and .407 on the year. Batting leadoff in Missouri's March 14, game against Michigan State at the Coastal Carolina Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C., White had a 3-for-5 outing, and scored one run in the eighth inning.
2008: White capped her freshman season May 24 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., with her 26th start of the year. White, who played in the outfield and saw time as pinch runner, scored 18 runs including two against Big 12 opponent Oklahoma State, on May 21. A slap hitter with speed, White was credited with 12 stolen bases and two triples. White showed strength against league opponents, powering a triple against Baylor on April 26.
Hickman: A left fielder and center fielder with the Kewpie softball team, White was coached by Courtney Haskell and received first-team all-district honors all four years of high school. In addition, White received her team's Most Valuable Defensive Player award her sophomore (2005), junior (2006) and senior (2007) seasons earning the Most Valuable Offensive Player award as a senior (2007). Named to the all-sectional team in 2007, White earned 11 letters during her career at Hickman and was also a member of the basketball and track and field teams. White played club softball with the Missouri Madness.
Personal: The daughter of Norman and Barbara White, Shana White has one sister, Tanisha. White was born June 27, 1989, and is majoring in biology.
