2026 SEASON
Appeared in 46 games and made 44 starts serving as the primary backstop for the Tigers … Hit .240 (37-for-154) with a pair of home runs, five doubles and 21 RBI … The switch-hitting catcher slugged home runs in back-to-back games versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Feb. 24 and 25, including a go-ahead grand slam in the 5-1 victory on Feb. 25 … Matched a career-high five RBI – every run the Tigers scored – in the 5-1 win over the Lions (2/25) … Tallied 10 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games … Put together an 11-game on-base streak … Went an impressive 7-for-8 on ABS challenges from behind the plate and made headlines in the debut game of the ball-strike technology at the 2026 SEC Tournament as the Tigers earned their first SEC Tournament win since 2017 with a 10-8 victory over No. 17 Ole Miss (5/19) … Serna did it all that day, adding a 3-for-5 effort with a pair of RBI and a run scored in the SEC Tournament win over the 17th-ranked Rebels (5/19).
2025 SEASON
Saw action in 51 games and started 47 as a sophomore for the Tigers ... The switch-hitting catcher belted nine home runs while driving in 36 runs to rank second on the team in both departments ... Hit .237 and added seven doubles and a triple ... Logged a dozen multi-hit games to tie for second-most on the team ... Notched eight multi-RBI games, good for third most on the team ... Went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI against Binghamton (3/8) ... Homered twice in the SEC series against Ole Miss (3/21, 3/23) ... 2024 SEASON
Serna made 28 appearances and started in 26 contests during his freshman season, 16 starts coming as MU's catcher ... recorded 154 putouts on the year ... held a .240 batting average on offense, registering four multi-hit performances ... had a career-high five runs batted in against Missouri State (April 23) ... homered four times as part of his eight extra-base hits, the first coming against Purdue Fort Wayne (March 9).
