Started 17 games for the Tigers, second most of the team, spending most of the year as the Tigers' Saturday starting pitcher ... ranked second on the team with 102 innings pitched and tied for second with 77 strikeouts ... was third on the team with seven wins, one better than the six wins he earned in his freshman season earned his first win of the year as he struck out five in five innings, getting the start in the season opener against Florida International on Feb. 9 ... struck out nine and allowed just one run in 8.1 innings pitched against BYU on Feb. 23, but was handed a no decision ... moved to 2-0 on the year with a win over Youngstown State on March 2, striking out four in 6.2 innings ... recorded a win in four-straight starts March 17-April 7 ... won his third game of the year as he struck out six and allowed two runs on six hits in 6.2 innings pitched against Cleveland State on March 17 ... improved his record to 4-0 with a complete-game victory over Nebraska on March 24, striking out four and not walking a batter ... picked up his fifth win of the year against Kansas on March 31, allowing five runs on nine hits in seven innings pitched ... struck out a career-best 11 batters and recorded his second complete game of the year against Kansas State on April 7, as he carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the ninth inning, with a one-out single in the ninth being the only hit he allowed in the game ... performance against Kansas State earned him Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honors and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) National Pitcher of the Week ... recorded seven strikeouts in 6.1 innings on the mound against Texas A&M on April 14 ... struck out five batters in 5.2 innings pitched against Texas on May 5, in Austin, Texas ... allowed two runs (only one of which was earned) in six innings pitched against Oklahoma on May 12 ... struck out six and allowed only one run in six innings on the hill against Oklahoma State on May 19 ... recorded his seventh win of the year after striking out six and giving up just one run on five hits in six innings pitched against Oklahoma State on May 26 at the Big 12 Tournament.

Won six games as a freshman for the Tigers ... picked up his first victory, pitching 1.1 innings of scoreless work in relief against Illinois State on March 1 ... allowed just two hits in 5.1 scoreless innings in the final game of Texas A&M series in his first career start, moving to 2-0 on the year ... struck out a season-high seven in six innings against Oklahoma State on April 23 ... did not allow a run on two hits in finale with Baylor to pick up his fourth win of the year ... recorded a complete game victory against UCLA to keep MU alive at the NCAA Regional ... struck out seven and allowed just one run on six hits in an outing that would be matched by fellow freshman Aaron Crow later that same day ... named to the Malibu Regional All-Touranment Team.
