- Drafted in the ninth round of the 2015 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers and began his professional career in June.

- Pitched seven scoreless innings of relief against Vanderbilt on May 3rd, striking out a career high six batters.
2013
- Appeared in six games and compiled a 5.68 ERA in 6.1 innings pitched, allowing eight hits, one walk and four earned runs.
- Threw a scoreless inning against Truman State (3/13).
- Allowed two earned runs against Arkansas State (3/19) in 1.0 innings of work.
- Pitched 1.2 innings against Nebraska-Omaha (3/27) and did not allow an earned run while striking out one and walking won while scattering just one hit in what was likely his best outing of the season.
- Allowed an unearned run against Illinois (4/2) while pitching at Busch Stadium, the home of the St. Louis Cardinals - his hometown team. He went 1.2 innings in the outing.
High School
- First Team All-Conference infielder in 2012 and was a Season Team All-Conference pitcher and outfielder in 2010 and 2009, showing his versatility while at Webster Groves High School.
- Named to the St. Louis Post Dispatch All-Metro Team as an infielder in 2012.
- Guided his team to a 2012 Suburban South Conference Championship in his senior season.
- Won eight career games and compiled a 3.82 ERA for Webster Groves.
- Hit .393 with six home runs and 21 RBI in his senior season as well.
- Academic All-State Basketball honoree by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association in 2012.

Personal
- Born Dec. 16, 1993, in Milwaukee, Wis., to parents Shane and Jane Fairbanks.
- Father, Shane, played baseball for Mizzou in the 1980s and his uncles, Rich and Andy played football at Mizzou.
- Plans to major in mathematics while at Mizzou.
