Davenport West: Playing shortstop for the Davenport West Falcons under head coach Steve Saladino, Ruggeberg was a second team All-Conference selection during her sophomore year of ball. She played one year of club ball for the Chicago Bandits and went on to compete at the Colorado All-Star Game in 2009. Also a basketball player, Ruggeberg earned seven total letters during her high school career. Academically, Ruggeberg was a member of the National Honor Society for her work in the classroom.

Personal: Born to Jeff and Amy Ruggeberg in Davenport, Iowa, on March 8, 1992, Ruggeberg is the youngest of two, as she has one older brother, Alex (20). Her father, Jeff, played collegiate baseball and attended Muscatine Community College and St. Ambrose University. Ruggeberg is undecided on her major, but would like to open her own crossfit gym after graduation.
