2012 OUTLOOK
Veteran receiver who can play a number of spots in the offense, and he will hit the field in the fall expecting to see major playing time at the H-receiver spot, where he begins camp at No. 2 on the depth ... Will also likely factor into the kick return game ... Enters the 2012 season with 9 career receptions for 58 yards, with a long catch of 19 yards ... Had a solid spring, and he won the team's most improved wide receiver award for his play ... Earned his undergraduate degree from MU's College of Arts & Science this past May, meaning he'll play the 2012 season as a graduate student.
2011 SEASON
Missed the beginning of the season due to injury but came back to play 10 games in his junior season ... Ended the year with 3 catches for 18 yards, including 1 grab for 8 yards early in the Independence Bowl win over North Carolina ... Caught a pass for 3 yards against Kansas and also made a 7-yard reception at Baylor, playing in his home state of Texas ... Also returned a kickoff against Texas Tech for 25 yards...
2010 SEASON
Became an instant Tiger legend when he returned the opening kickoff against #1-ranked Oklahoma 86 yards for a TD to jump-start the Tigers on their way to the historic 36-27 win which improved them to 7-0 ... Returned 3 kickoffs in all for the year, for a combined 125 yards (41.7 avg.) ... Made six receptions on the year, for 40 yards, including a catch for 9 yards in MU's bowl game against Iowa ... Had two catches against McNeese State and made one grab vs. San Diego State ... Had a pair of catches for 27 yards in the win over Miami (Ohio) ... Named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week following his TD return against OU.
2009 SEASON
Saw action in one game as he took the field at Kansas State in reserve duty.
2008 SEASON
Ended up taking a redshirt in his initial season in the Tiger program ... A minor injury suffered late in two-a-days set him back, however, and with MU's deep receiving corps, the decision was made to save the redshirt ... Was a three-time winner of the offensive Back-Up Player of the Week for his efforts in practice against Texas, Baylor and Iowa State - he was the only Tiger to win the award three times.
HIGH SCHOOL
Came to Mizzou ranked as the No. 25 all-purpose back in the country, as well as the state of Texas' No. 79 overall prospect (any position) by Rivals ... ESPN.com rated him as the nation's No. 26 athlete prospect ... Won District MVP and All-Region honors as a senior in 2007, while being named to the Houston Chronicle Top-100 list ... Despite missing a few games to an injured ankle, had 1,208 yards and 13 TDs rushing, while also throwing for nearly 600 yards and three more TDs ... Won Academic Top-25 honors from his school in 2007, as well ... Won District MVP honors as a junior in 2006 ... Honored as a First-Team All-District performer during his sophomore season of 2005 ... Started his varsity career as a wide receiver during 2004, then showed his versatility by moving to QB as a junior, and led his team to a winning record .... High school coach - Ray Zepada.
