REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2015)

  • Solidified herself as the Tigers' top hitting threat after producing a .368 AVG / 13 HR / 66 RBI slash line
  • Her 66 RBI set a new Mizzou softball single-season RBI record
  • Paced the team in AVG (.368), runs (58), doubles (12), triples (3), XBH (28), RBI (66), total bases (120), SLG% (.702) and OPS (1.183)
  • Scored the game-winning run after singling to lead off the 8th inning in the series finale vs. No. 1 Florida (March 3)
  • Went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored and two walks over two games in a DH vs. Northern Iowa (April 29)
  • In a five-game stretch vs. Arkansas and Western Illinois (April 15-19), went 11-for-17 with 12 RBIs and seven extra base hits. Also had two home runs on April 18 vs. Razorbacks
  • Went 4-for-5 vs. Illinois (March 25), becoming just the fourth Tiger ever to hit two triples in a game
  • Had six hits in five games at Mary Nutter Classic (Feb 19-21) with a team-best five RBI, including RBIs in 4-of-5 games
  • Had three home runs, two doubles, and 11 RBI in five games at the Dot Richardson season-opening tournament (Feb. 13-15)
  • Hit two homers in Dot Richardson finale vs. South Dakota State (Feb. 15). Fagan entered the 2015 season with only three career homers in 381 at-bats (one every 127 ABs), but in five games at Dot Richardson Invite, she hit three home runs in 18 ABs

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2014)

  • Strong first season as a Tiger, hitting .342 (66-for-193) and ranking second on the squad in hits (66), at-bats (193) and runs scored (38)
  • Used her versatility to be a constant part of the Tigers' lineup over 58 starts, beginning the season at shortstop with 38 starts and also seeing time at catcher (14), third base (four) and designated player (two)
  • Also ranked second on the team in both multi-hit and multi-RBI games, recording at least two hits 21 times and at least two RBI 12 times
  • Matched career-best in RBI with three in the March 9 game at No. 13 Texas A&M, hitting her second career home run in the contest
  • Recorded a hit in Mizzou's games from Feb. 21-March 15 for a 14-game hitting streak
  • Blasted a three-run home run to right field as part of Mizzou's eight-run third inning to defeat No. 13 Georgia (March 28), 8-6
  • Two-straight two-RBI games to help Mizzou clinch its series win and eventual sweep at No. 20 Auburn (April 11-13), batting 2-for-4 in the 4-2 win and 1-for-3 with a double in the 7-6 win
  • Made her first two starts of 2014 at catcher during the doubleheader at Iowa (April 17), batting 4-for-6 (.667) over the two games with three RBI
  • Successful three-game set in the series win at No. 3 Florida (April 25-27), batting 4-for-9 (.444) with one double and two runs scored, including two multi-hit games
  • Hit 3-for-7 in the doubleheader sweep of Creighton (April 29), including a 2-for-4 opening game with three RBI in the 11-6 win over the Bluejays
  • Solid series vs. No. 6 Alabama (May 1-3), hitting 5-for-11 (.455) with two two-hit games
  • Batted 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Mizzou's second game of NCAA Regional action vs. Kansas (May 17), a 6-3 win

SOPHOMORE (2013)

  • Sat out the 2013 season due to Southeastern Conference transfer rules

FRESHMAN / FLORIDA (2012)

  • Hit .378 in her first year of collegiate softball, the second-best mark on the Gators and fifth-highest average in the SEC 
  • Tied for third overall in the SEC in hits (71) while legging out five triples, tied for most in the conference and 14th-most in the entire NCAA
  • Also appeared in 57 games and reached base safely in 52 of them, which included a string of 16-consecutive games running from Feb. 10 - March 2
  • Started her collegiate career with eight hits in her first nine at bats, including a pair of 3-for-3 performances
  • Hit safely in seven straight games from Feb. 12-23, recording five multi-hit games during that span
  • Went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, walk, an RBI and three runs scored in the series finale with South Carolina
  • Hit her first career home run at Florida State on April 4, giving her a career-best three RBI
  • Drove in two RBI in four consecutive games ranging from April 15-21, batting 7-for-13 during the stretch 
  • Finished the season on a 10-game hitting streak, which included a 4-for-4 performance against Tennessee in the SEC Tournament
  • Hit .295 with 190 runs in SEC play, including four doubles, two triples and 11 RBI
  • When bunting, she hit an incredible .643, recording 18 bunt singles in 28 at bats
  • Averaged more hits per game (1.25) than anyone on the Florida team and was second on the Florida squad with 23 multi-hit games on the season

HIGH SCHOOL (DUNNELLON)

  • Named the 2011 Gatorade Florida Softball Player of the Year and earned NFCA First Team High School All-America recognition in both 2009 and 2011
  • Also earned ESPN Rise All-America honors and picked up Third Team NFCA All-American as a junior in 2010
  • Earned All-State selections from 2009-10
  • Tallied a .693 batting clip with four triples, 51 runs, 17 RBI and 28 stolen bases as a senior at Dunnellon High School
  • Posted a state record 63-game hitting streak during her sophomore and junior seasons and batted .629 with 234 runs scored and 141 stolen bases during her tenure at Dunnellon
  • Her 63-game hit streak was the best in the state of Florida at the time, which also ranked second in the nation 
  • Helped lead Dunnellon to the 2010 Class 4A Florida State Championship title
  • Graduated high school with a perfect 4.0 GPA while also playing soccer, volleyball, and running track
  • Played for Team North Florida club team
  • Led Team North Florida to the 2011 ASA National Championship in 2011 and a runner-up finish at the 2010 ASA Gold Nationals

  • Sami Fagan was born to Kevin and Nancy Fagan
  • One of six children and is the second oldest in the family
  • Her older sister, Kasey, plays softball at Arkansas, while younger sister Haley plays softball at South Alabama
  • Her other siblings are Cole, Cameron and Jack
