
Men's Golf Climbs Three Spot in Arkansas

Mizzou men's and women's golf teams played in the second round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday with the men's team climbing three spots on the day.
Junior Veikka Viskari led the team, posting an even-par 72 to move up seven spots to 13th at four-over through two rounds (76-72). Virgilio Paz carded a one-over 73, moving up two spots into ninth at +3 overall (74-73).
The men's team finished day two in fifth at +25 after improving by 11 strokes in the second round – sitting just four shots out of third, placing second of three SEC schools in the tournament. Arkansas has the overall lead after 36 holes at +6, while Mizzou is four spots ahead of Mississippi State, who is ninth at +33.
Senior Addie Dobson led the women's team for the second-straight day, carding six birdies and a two-under 70 to climb four spots into seventh. Fleur van Beek also moved up the leaderboard, posting a two-over 74 to jump 20 spots into 21st.
Overall, the women's team finished the day in seventh at +44. Arkansas leads after two days at -1.
After two rounds the teams finished with a combined score of +69, placing seventh of 10 schools with Arkansas leading overall.
Both teams will resume play Wednesday for the third and final round.
