COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri tennis student-athlete Andrea Artimedi earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators (CSC). This marks the first time Artimedi has received the honor.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Finishing her junior season with a 10-9 singles record including three key wins over Southeastern Conference opponents, Artimedi clinched the win against No. 55 Mississippi State to help the Tigers claim their first ranked win since 2022.
Additionally, the Italian native picked up wins over Ole Miss in three sets and secured a double bagel over Florida's Reagan Parker. The Florida victory was crucial in securing the upset over the No. 22-ranked Gators, 4-3. This marked the first time Mizzou had defeated Florida in program history and its highest-ranked win since 2017 when it beat No. 17 Texas A&M, 4-3.
In doubles Artimedi secured a 12-11 record, playing primarily with Mary Brumfield or Inah Canete. She tallied five SEC doubles wins with four different partners. Additionally, the junior had eight unfinished matches in a competitive showing throughout the spring.
Artimedi is working toward a bachelor's in nutrition & exercise physiology with one year remaining of eligibility.
