
Volleyball to Compete in Kansas City Spring Tournament

COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri volleyball will continue its 2025 spring season as they travel to Kansas City to participate in the Kansas City Tournament Saturday. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
The tournament will be hosted at Swinney Recreation Center (5030 Holmes St. Kansas City, MO 64110) in Kansas City. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., CT.
A clear bag policy is in effect and there will be concessions available for fans at Swinney Recreation Center.
The Tigers will first take on Tulsa at 9 a.m., CT on court two before facing Creighton at 11:30 a.m. on court one. The tournament will pause for a quick lunch break before the afternoon matches begin. Mizzou will play Kansas at 2:15 p.m., CT on court three before concluding the day by matching up against Wichita State at 3:30 p.m. on court two.
This weekend's matches will mark the Tigers' third challenge of the spring season.
MU will head to Overland Park, Kansas, on April 19 to face Kansas State to conclude its spring season. The match will be contested at Bluhawk Sports.

Mizzou went 22-9 (11-5 SEC) in the 2024 season. Head coach Dawn Sullivan has guided the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament in each of her two seasons in Columbia, including a run to the NCAA Sweet 16 in this past season's tournament. Sullivan, named 2024 AVCA Central Region Coach of the Year, is 40-22 in two seasons at Mizzou and 149-60 overall as a head coach.
The Tigers will return 2024 AVCA All-American and back-to-back SEC Libero of the Year Maya Sands alongside 2024 All-SEC setter Marina Crownover. Both Sands and Crownover also earned AVCA Central All-Region honors.
MU has picked up four transfers in the spring including Trinity Luckett, Caylen Alexander, Grace O'Reilly, and Tyrah Ariail along with freshman setter Taylor Cook. Four of Missouri's five signees from signing day have also joined the Tigers for the spring 2025 semester.
LOOKING AHEAD
- The Tigers will next hit the road to conclude its spring season. MU will wrap up the spring with a match against Kansas State on April 19 in Overland Park, Kansas, at Bluhawk Sports.
