Track & Field Sees Four Earn Podium Finishes on Final Day of Battle on the Bayou

Claudina Diaz and Sterling Scott took the win in their events to cap off the meet.
BATON ROUGE, La. – University of Missouri track and field had four student-athletes earn podium finishes on the final day of the Battle on the Bayou at Bernie Moore Track Stadium on Saturday.
Claudina Diaz and Sterling Scott led the team, earning first place in the high jump and triple jump, respectively. The pair were joined by Kristi Perez-Snyman, who finished just behind Diaz in the women's high jump, and Ames Burton, who took second place in the women's discus with a personal-best result of 54.72m (179-06).
Reagan Kimrey (46.08m, 151-02) and Tañia Duncan (44.27m, 145-03) set new individual records in the women's discus as well.
In the track events, three Tigers set personal bests. Lasse Funck's 1:48.62 in the 800m, Kaden Hamner's 48.16 in the 400m and Robert Hines' 10.32 in the 100m all secured new individual records.
