No. 14/16 University of Missouri men's basketball opens the month of March by playing at Vanderbilt in SEC action Saturday. Tipoff in Nashville is set for 5 p.m. on SEC Network.
ABOUT THE TIGERS
• Mizzou enters the final week of the regular season with a 21-7 overall record, including a 10-5 mark in SEC play.
• The Tigers are ranked No. 14 in the AP poll and No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches poll.
• Mizzou is coming off its largest SEC win in 12 years, defeating South Carolina, 101-71, Tuesday.

• The Tigers are playing their best basketball on the offensive side as of late.
• In its last five games, Mizzou is averaging 93.0 points – shooting 53.4 percent from the field.
• The Tigers have scored more than 100 points twice in the last three games. They had not done so once in any of their first 226 SEC games.
• Mizzou has also eclipsed 80 points in five-straight league contests for the first time since 1988-89 and just the fourth time overall.

• Junior Mark Mitchell has keyed the Tigers' hot stretch as of late.
• In his last five games, Mitchell is averaging 20.0 points – shooting 56.9 percent from the field and 66.0 percent from 2-point range.
• His most impressive performance during the run was a career-high 31-point game in a win over No. 4 Alabama, making 11-of-15 field goals.
• Mitchell is now second on the team with 13.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

• Overall, Mizzou is posting some of its best stats in years on the offensive end.
• The Tigers' field goal mark of 48.9 leads the SEC and is the team's highest since 2011-12 (50.4).

• Senior Tamar Bates is enjoying one of the best shooting seasons by a Tiger in school history.
• Bates is averaging 13.2 points per game, shooting 51.2 percent overall, 41.4 percent from 3-point range and 93.4 percent from the free-throw line.
• The senior is on pace to become the first Tiger in school history to shoot 50-40-90 in a season.
• Bates is the only player nationally shooting 50-40-90 this season (minimum one made 3-pointer and free throw per game).
