
Schreacke Honored on SEC Community Service Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women's basketball sophomore guard Abbey Schreacke has been named to the 2024-25 SEC Community Service Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Schreacke leads Missouri's community outreach efforts with 37 hours of service during her career including 15 hours during the 2024-25 academic year. The second-year guard has primarily worked with the Knights of Columbus, serving food in her hometown of Quincy, Illinois. She has also worked as an assistant coach with the softball and volleyball teams at her local high school.
Throughout the year, Schreacke volunteered with the Missouri Women's Basketball's Tiger Paws initiative, which empowers young children through partnership with student-athletes.
During the holiday season, the sophomore guard visited with kids at the MU Children's Hospital.
In January, Schreacke served alongside Special Olympics Missouri as a volunteer basketball coach.
Schreacke also served with Columbia Public Schools multiple times at the beginning of the fall semester, writing welcome back and good luck notes for kids and serving as a recess and lunch mentor at Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School.
Schreacke is currently pursuing a degree in Health Science.
