11/22/2025 11:00:00 AM | Women's Basketball
Mizzou women's basketball will take on Washington State Sunday at 2 p.m. in the WBCA Showcase in Kissimmee, Fla. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Tiger Radio Network.
This is the second year of the WBCA State Farm Showcase held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.
Missouri (4-2, 0-0 SEC) enters the showcase following a loss to Troy on Thursday.
Junior guard Shannon Dowell led Mizzou with 25 points, five rebounds and five assists against Troy.
Dowell has notched double-digit points in every game this season and has scored in double-figures in 20 straight contests, dating back to last season.
Mizzou shot 100% from the free throw line (21-of-21) against Troy, marking the second time ever that the Tigers have gone perfect from the line with 20+ attempts (Jan. 28, 2004, against Oklahoma (21-of-21))
Dowell was 10-of-10 at the free-throw line against Southern Illinois (Nov. 18). For the first time in Mizzou program history, two Tigers have been perfect from the charity stripe with 10+ attempts in a single season after Grace Slaughter made 12 attempts against Tulane on Nov. 6.
Dowell and junior guard Grace Slaughter rank third and fifth in the SEC with 19.0 and 18.5 points per game this season.
In October, Slaughter was named to the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Preseason Watch List.
Junior guard Abbey Schreacke ranks fourth in the conference in 3-point percentage at 40.6%.
As a team, Mizzou is fourth in the conference in 3-point percentage at 39.5.
The Tigers have assisted on 49-51 of their makes from beyond the arc this season.
On Nov. 12, Missouri signed three top-100 recruits in Natalya Hodge (No. 54), Khloe Ford (No. 94) and Jada Maples (No. 95) in addition to Cecilie Brandimore and Ellie Mueller.
Sunday marks the first meeting between the Tigers and the Cougars all-time.
Washington State comes into the showcase 0-5 following a loss to Oregon on Wednesday.
Head coach Kamie Ethridge is in her seventh season at the helm of the Cougars.
Washington State's roster is headlined by Eleonora Villa and Malia Ruud, who have averaged 15.2 and 11.4 points per game this season, respectively.
