Tennis Welcomes No. 2 Texas A&M and No. 13 Texas to Columbia

University of Missouri tennis welcomes No. 2 Texas A&M to Columbia on Friday, March 14, at 1:00 p.m. CT, followed by No.13 Texas on Sunday, March 16, at noon CT, as Mizzou continues through Southeastern Conference play.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri tennis welcomes No. 2 Texas A&M to Columbia on Friday, March 14, at 1:00 p.m. CT, followed by No. 13 Texas on Sunday, March 16, at noon CT, as Mizzou continues through Southeastern Conference play. The matches will take place at the Country Club of Missouri or Green Tennis Center, weather permitting.

Texas A&M is 14-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play. The Aggies have one loss this season to No. 1 Georgia, losing 1-4. The last match the Aggies had was on March 9 in Gainesville, Florida, sweeping the Gators on their home court 4-0.  

Texas is 8-6 overall and 2-3 in conference action. The Longhorns lost their last two matches against No. 61 Florida on March 7 in Gainesville, 3-4, and then fell to No.11 Auburn 3-4 on March 9 in Auburn, Alabama. Before heading to Columbia, UT must go up against No. 16 Vanderbilt in Nashville on Friday, March 14.  

Entering this weekend back at home, the Tigers are 10-5 overall and 1-4 in conference play. Coming off of their first ranked win since 2022, the Tigers defeated No. 55 Mississippi State 4-3 on March 2 but fell short the past two matches, losing to No. 14 Oklahoma 4-0 on March 7 at and Arkansas 4-0 on March 9.

The Tigers will head to Gainesville, Florida, going up against No. 37 Florida on Friday, March 21 at 5 p.m. CT. After, the team will head straight to Auburn, Alabama, to go up against No. 11 Auburn on Sunday, March 23, at noon CT.
