COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri tennis heads to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to face off against Minnesota on Friday, Feb. 7, at 3:30 p.m. CT. The Tigers then compete in a doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 9, against Colorado State at 9:30 a.m. CT and continue the weekend's contest against St. Thomas at 1:30 p.m. CT.
Minnesota is 3-2 after winning their last two matches, defeating both Air Force, 4-0, on Saturday, Feb.1, and securing their third win against Iowa State, 4-3 on Sunday, Feb. 2.
Colorado State is 1-1 and coming off of a loss against Colorado Boulder, dropping 6-1 on Sunday, Jan. 26.
St. Thomas is 1-0, opening its 2025 spring season on Saturday, Feb. 1, hosting Sioux Falls and defeating the Cougars 7-0.
Mizzou keeps their streak alive, going 3-0 after defeating Saint Louis University on Feb. 1, 4-0. The Tigers claimed the doubles point and swept the singles matches 3-0 to clinch the overall victory. The freshmen Gian Octa, Korina Roso and Zoe Lazar all put on a show. Octa went undefeated against SLU, winning both her singles match on court four and her doubles match, with Roso finishing with a 6-1 doubles win. Lazar tallied a 6-2, 6-0 defeat on court 2. Senior Mary Brumfield stepped into the No. 1 singles spot and secured the win for the Tigers with a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
