Tennis Prepped for No. 17 Alabama and No. 55 Mississippi at Home

University of Missouri tennis continues Southeastern Conference play, welcoming No. 17 Alabama to Columbia on Friday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. CT, followed by No. 55 Mississippi State on Sunday, March 2 at noon CT. The matches will take place at the Country Club of Missouri or Green Tennis Center, weather permitting.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri tennis continues Southeastern Conference play, welcoming No. 17 Alabama to Columbia on Friday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. CT, followed by No. 55 Mississippi State on Sunday, March 2 at noon CT. The matches will take place at the Country Club of Missouri or Green Tennis Center, weather permitting.

Alabama is 7-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Crimson Tide swept their last two matches in doubleheader action on Feb. 23 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, defeating Mississippi State 4-0 and Georgia State 4-0.

Mississippi State is 9-1 overall, with its only loss coming in conference play. In Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the Bulldogs dropped their last match to the Crimson Tide on Feb. 23, 4-0. Before heading to Missouri, MSU will travel to Nashville to face No. 19 Vanderbilt on Friday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. CT.

Entering this weekend, the Tigers are 9-2 and 0-1 in SEC action. Missouri most recently won against Lindenwood and Western Illinois, 4-0, during a doubleheader on Feb. 22, while losing to No. 31 Vanderbilt on Feb. 23, 7-0 at Green Tennis Center.
