ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
• Georgia enters the weekend with a 16-9 overall mark and 4-8 record against SEC foes, coming off a 69-53 setback at No. 8 Texas A&M on Tuesday.
• The Bulldogs are 13-2 at home with their two losses coming by a combined three points to nationally-ranked Auburn and Mississippi State.
• Asa Newell leads the team with 15.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
• Silas Demary Jr. is second with 11.8 points to go with a team-leading 3.2 assists per game.
• The Bulldogs average 75.0 points per game with a scoring defense of 67.4 points.

SERIES HISTORY
• Missouri owns a slight edge in the all-time series, 11-10, over the Bulldogs.
• Georgia swept a pair of close games last season over Mizzou – winning, 75-68, in the SEC opener before a 64-59 win in the SEC Tournament.
• While Georgia won twice last season, the Tigers have won six of the last nine meetings between the conference foes.

TIGERS IN THE RANKINGS
• Mizzou remains in the top 25 for a fourth-straight week, placing No. 21 in the AP poll and No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches poll.
• It marks the first time the Tigers have spent four-straight weeks in the polls since an 11-week run during the 2020-21 campaign.

CAREER GAME AND MILESTONES
• Junior Mark Mitchell led MU during Wednesday's win over Oklahoma, enjoying a career-best game with a milestone to celebrate.
• Mitchell tallied a career-best 25 points on just 12 field-goal attempts thanks a 13-of-18 day from the free-throw line.
• The junior also reached the 1,000-point mark for his career in the winning effort.
• Mitchell now ranks second on the team with 12.9 points per game.

BEST AT DRAWING FOULS
Mark Mitchell's key to success at Mizzou is his ability to get to the free-throw line.
• Mitchell's 18 attempts from the free-throw line on Wednesday are the most by a Tiger since Jabari Brown had 18 on March 13, 2014.
• Overall, Mitchell – who ranks third in the SEC and 41st nationally with 153 free-throw attempts – is averaging 6.4 attempts per game, the most by a Tiger since Brown 11 seasons ago.
• Mitchell is also 14th nationally with a free-throw rate of 72.5 percent and 40th by drawing 6.4 fouls per 40 minutes.

GETTING TO THE LINE
• Overall, a large key to Mizzou's success this year is the team's march to the free-throw line.
• MU ranks second nationally with 20.0 makes per game from the free-throw line and third with 27.8 attempts.
• The Tigers have increased their attempts by 9.6 per game from a season ago when they ranked last in the SEC with 18.2 per game.
• MU is also second nationally with a free-throw rate (FTA/FGA) of 49.7 percent and 11th by getting 24.3 percent of its points from the charity stripe.

3-POINT SURGE
• Mizzou has coupled its free-throw shooting with a strong campaign behind the 3-point arc.
• The Tigers rank second in the SEC and 35th in the country with a 3-point clip of 37.4 percent.
• The Tigers have improved their national ranking by 246 spots, increasing their average by 5.6 percent from last season when they shot 31.8 percent and placed 281st in the country.

3-POINTERS + FREE THROWS
• What makes a successful team in the modern game is triples and free throws and the Tigers are one of the best to do it this season.
• MU is one of just two teams in the country with eight made 3-pointers (8.8) and 18.0 made free throws (20.0) per game, joining No. 2 Alabama.
• In fact, Mizzou is the first power-conference team to average eight triples and 20 free throws in a season since Oregon in 1994-95.

STRONG DEFENSIVE EFFORT
• The Tigers are coming off their best defensive effort of the season.
• Mizzou held Oklahoma to 58 points and just 31.0 percent shooting on Wednesday.
• It marked the fewest points allowed by Mizzou in an SEC game under head coach Dennis Gates.
