Dahlgren Advances to 200 Fly Final at U.S. Olympic Team Trials

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Former Mizzou swimmer Jack Dahlgren turned in a long course personal best of 1:55.65 in the 200-meter butterfly Tuesday evening to advance to the final round of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Dahlgren recorded a preliminary time of 1:56.45 Tuesday morning, which ranked fifth heading into the semifinal round. He placed fourth in the second semifinal heat but maintained his position with the fifth-fastest time overall to move on to the eight-man final.
Dahlgren will swim at approximately 7 p.m. (CDT) Wednesday in the final, which will air live on NBC.
Dahlgren, a Victoria, Minn., native, was a five-year standout for the Tigers, capping his collegiate career by earning multiple All-America accolades in 2023, including first-team honors in the 200 free (5th) and the 200 back (7th) at the NCAA Championships.
