Tiger Men Take Ninth, Women 11th at NCAA Regional

PEORIA, Ill. – The University of Missouri cross country teams closed out the NCAA Midwest Cross Country Regional Championships on Friday at the Newman Golf Course, with the men's team taking ninth while the women's squad placed 11th.
Drew Rogers and Rahel Broemmel paced the Tigers in their respective races. Rogers took 16th marking his third-consecutive race leading the Tigers with a time of 29:45.09. He ran a personal record 10k, beating his previous best of 30:58.5 in the 2022 rendition of the event.
Rogers was followed by Ryder James, who finished in 31st at a time of 30:15.68, also beating his personal best 10k time of 30:15.7. Declan Tunney followed in line in 66th with a time of 30:52.14.
Broemmel has been Mizzou's top individual finisher on the women's side in all six races this season. Her time of 20:35.31 was the team's seventh-fast 6k time of the year. She was followed by Nicole Louw in 45th place with a time of 20:49.37.

- Rahel Broemmel ran the seventh fastest 6k time this season for the women at 20:35.54, finishing first on the team in all six races.
- Drew Rogers and Ryder James beat their previous 10k personal best – Rogers from 29:45.1 to 29:45.09 and James from 30:15.7 to 30:15.68.
- Rogers' time of 29:45.01 is the fastest time posted by a Tiger in the NCAA Midwest Regional since Thomas George ran a 29:32.6 in 2017.
- Broemmel finished in the fastest time on the women's side in the NCAA Midwest Regional since 2017, when Karissa Schweizer finished the race in 19:50.9
- Joshua Allison beat his previous 10k personal best from 30:52.2 to 30:52.14.

UP NEXT
The Tigers will await their postseason fate in hopes of receiving an at-large bid to the NCAA Cross Country Championships on November 22 hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The at-large teams, who will compete against the top two finishing teams at the regional event, will be announced on Sunday.
