The top five female and top four male divers from each event at the five respective zone diving championships will be eligible to compete at the NCAA championships. Additional place finishers in each event at each zone will be eligible based on the number of student-athletes from that zone who finished in the top 16 in that event at the previous year's contested or completed NCAA championships. All eligible divers must have achieved the zone qualifying score before the NCAA championships in all events they wish to participate.
For Zone D in 2023, nine women will qualify on the 1-meter and 3-meter and 10 on the platform. The men will have seven on the 1-meter, nine on the 3-meter and five on the platform.
