
Track and Field Travels for NCAA Indoor Championships

Three Tigers will compete on Saturday.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Three members of the University of Missouri track and field program will compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 12. The meet, taking place in Birmingham, Ala., will be streamed live on ESPN daily and a tape-delay broadcast will air on Sunday (ESPNU). Live results will be available throughout the championships on FlashResults.
Mizzou Entries
Roberto Vilches (Mexico City, Mexico) – men's high jump – 12:30 p.m. CT
Georgi Nachev (Yambol, Bulgaria) – men's triple jump – 3:45 p.m. CT
Arianna Fisher (San Jose, Calif.) – women's triple jump – 6:45 p.m. CT
Earlier this season, Vilches set the top NCAA indoor mark with a jump of 2.26m (7-5) at the Razorback Invitational, also an indoor school record. Still the NCAA leader, he won the SEC Indoor Championships high jump title two weeks ago. Saturday marks Vilches' third NCAA Championships appearance.
The SEC Indoor Championships silver medalist in the triple jump, Nachev will compete in his fourth NCAA Championships this weekend. Nachev holds the No. 5 triple jump nationally with a mark of 16.48m (54-1). At the 2021 NCAA Indoor Championships, he finished eighth in the triple jump.
Saturday is Fisher's third appearance at the NCAA Championships. Her season-best triple jump of 13.59m (44-7), set at the Tyson Invitational, is the No. 8 mark nationally and the Mizzou indoor record.
