COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri sophomore Jenna McCormick was named to the 2022 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, announced the league office Wednesday, Oct. 26. This is the first time McCormick has earned the honor.
The midfielder has not let her inability to be on the field with her team this season stop her from major contributions off it. McCormick has totaled 37.5 hours of community service, mainly working with the Central Missouri Humane Society. During her hours of contribution, the sophomore has helped with cat and dog socialization, exercise, dog walking, and doggy days out. Throughout her time helping, many cats and dogs have felt love and support before finding permanent homes. The Highlands Ranch, Colo. native has also spent time at local elementary schools, reading to kids and assisting with literacy programs, as well as volunteering for Day Dreams Foundation Field Day.
The Tigers are set to close out the regular season at No. 14 South Carolina Thursday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. CT.
