
Mizzou Track & Field Completes Day One of SEC Championship

The Tigers will send two runners so far to Saturday finals
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Mizzou Track & Field competed in nine events on the opening day of the 2021 SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, including setting finals-qualifying times in the men's and women's 800m races.
Senior Chris Conrad (O'Fallon, Ill.) and redshirt-senior Karina Liz (Aurora, Ill.) both finished as the top time-qualifiers in the respective events. Conrad completed his race with a new personal record of 1:47.45.
In the field, the Tigers competed in the men's and women's javelin. Redshirt-sophomore Erin Zimmermann (Malvern, Pa.) was the Black and Gold's highest finisher of the two events, finishing seventh with a throw of 48.38m. Mizzou also had both men's and women's entries in the 200m dash, 400m hurdles, 400m dash, as well as an entry in the women's 10,000m.
Day two of the SEC Championships will pick up at 2 p.m. CT on Friday with the women's hammer throw. The competition will be streamed on SEC Network+ beginning at 4:45 p.m. CT.
