Fifteen From Mizzou Swimming and Diving Claim All-SEC Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. - A total of 15 members of the Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned 2020-21 All-Southeastern Conference honors, the league announced on Wednesday. The 15 recipients stand as the second-most for the program since the Tigers joined the SEC.
One Tiger, sophomore Savana Trueb (Colorado Springs, Colo.) garnered first team honors. Seniors Grant Reed (Austin, Texas) and Sarah Thompson (Collierville, Tenn.), juniors Jack Dahlgren (Victoria, Minn.), Megan Keil (Derby, Kan.), Danny Kovac (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Kyle Leach (Colorado Springs, Colo.), sophomores Amy Feddersen (Ames, Iowa), Carlo Lopez (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), Alex Moderski (McFarland, Wis.), Ben Patton (Wichita, Kan.), Meredith Rees (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Molly Winer (Ames, Iowa) and freshmen Takuto Endo (Tagajo, Japan) and Frederik Rindshøj (Søborg, Denmark) all claimed second team honors. Endo and Rindshoej were also named to the All-Freshman team.
The All-SEC first team consists of the top finisher in each event at the SEC Championships, and the second team consists of the second- and third-place finishers in each event. The All-Freshman teams consist of any redshirt or true freshman who finished either in the top eight or was the highest scoring freshman of each event at the SEC Championships, excluding relay events.
Trueb claimed first team honors as the women's platform champion at February's Championships. The sophomore totaled 293.2 points in the final to claim the title and become the first Tiger in program history to win an SEC platform crown.
Endo, Kovac, Lopez, Patton and Thompson all earned spots on the second team thanks to top three finishes at SECs. Kovac claimed a pair or runner-up placements in the 100 fly and 200 IM, to go along with a third-place showing in the 200 fly, and Thompson notched a runner-up finish in the 100 back.
Also placing third in different events were Lopez, Endo and Patton who took bronze on 1-meter, platform and in the 100 breast, respectively.
Two women's relays earned runner-up finishes SECs, as Mizzou took second in both the 200 free and 200 medley relays. Thompson, Moderski, Feddersen and Keil all swam on the 200 free relay team, while Thompson and Keil were joined by Rees and Winer on the 200 medley relay.
Additionally, the Tiger men had finishes of second in the 400 medley relay and third in the 400 free relay to garner SEC honors. Dahlgren, Patton, Kovac and Rindshoej swam on the 400 medley relay, while Leach and Reed joined Kovac and Patton on the 400 free relay.
In addition to their second team accolades, Endo and Rindshoej also claimed spots on the All-Freshman team as top eight finishers in their respective events. Endo took third on platform and fourth in the 3-meter, while Rindshoej placed fifth in the in the 100 breast.
