Murgett and Oliveira earn ranked win in doubles play
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Tennis (12-4, 1-1 SEC) fell to Ole Miss (5-3, 1-1 SEC), 4-0, on Monday afternoon at the Mizzou Tennis Complex. The Tigers' lone win came in doubles action, as the duo of junior Bronte Murgett (Holmfirth, Great Britain) and senior Marta Oliveira (Lisbon, Portugal) earned a ranked win over a top-25 doubles pair.
DOUBLES
In doubles action, Murgett and Oliveira earned their second ranked win of the season, as the beat the No. 24-ranked team of Sabina Machalova and Alexa Bortles, 6-1.
SINGLES
In singles play, Mizzou dropped matches on court 1, 3 and 4 as the Rebels clinched the match.
UP NEXT
Mizzou will host a pair of matches once again next weekend, playing UT Martin on Saturday, Feb. 27 and Arkansas on Sunday, Feb. 28. Both matches are scheduled to start at Noon CT.
