Mangual-Duran Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced its 19th-annual women's volleyball Community Service Team on Wednesday afternoon. The SEC sponsors a Community Service Team for all 21 league sponsored sports, highlighting an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts. Leandra Mangual-Duran represents the University of Missouri.
As a three-year member of the Mizzou volleyball team, Mangual-Duran has been in numerous community service projects. She has volunteered with a number of organizations, including the Special Olympics and Caleb's Pitch, a nonprofit dedicated to providing support and memorable experiences to children battling serious medical conditions.
In addition, Mangual-Duran has also dedicated time to getting involved with local schools in Columbia. In the classroom, she spends time reading with second grade students and has also became a pen pal with local elementary students.
