Three Tigers Take Home SEC Weekly Swimming Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Seniors Jack Dahlgren and Sarah Thompson and freshman Grant Bochenski earned weekly honors from the Southeastern Conference on Nov. 9, following the Tigers' tri-dual with Purdue and Michigan on Nov. 5.
Dahlgren was named SEC Male Swimmer of the Week. At the tri-dual, Dahlgren won both the 200 back and 100 back. His 200 back time of 1:40.97 is the fastest in the country, while his 100 back time of 46.58 is the sixth fastest. Dahlgren was also a part of Mizzou's winning 400 free relay. His split time of 42.76 is the third fastest 100 free time in the nation.
Thompson earned the SEC Female Swimmer of the Week title for the second time this season. She won the 50 free this past weekend, defeating 2020 Olympic gold medalist Maggie MacNeil of Michigan. She also won the 100 fly with the third fastest time in the nation (52.16). Thompson was a part of Mizzou's 400 free relay and 200 medley relay that both beat Purdue and finished second against Michigan. The 400 free relay's time of 3:17.45 is the sixth fastest in the country.
Bochenski won SEC Male Freshman of the Week honors. He finished second in the 100 back against Purdue and third against Michigan. His time of 47.62 is 19th in the country. He also took third in the 100 free against Purdue and fourth against Michigan.
He was a part of Mizzou's winning 400 free relay that ranks third nationally. He also led off Mizzou's 'B' 200 medley relay with the nation's 24th fastest 50 back time of 22.13.
