Mizzou records program record team GPAs for all four teams
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Track & Field recorded a historic term in the classroom over the 2020 spring semester, as the men's track & field (3.33), women's track & field (3.74), men's cross country (3.60) and women's cross country (3.82) teams all produced program record team GPAs.
In addition to the remarkable team marks, 90 student-athletes within the track & field program recorded a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher, while 33 (25 women / eight men) earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. The women's team continued its incredible streak of 36 consecutive semesters of a 3.0 team GPA or higher, dating back to 2003.
Three Mizzou student-athletes were on-hand at the NCAA Indoor Championships when the meet was canceled on March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The cancellation of the entire outdoor season would soon follow.
After their season was cut short, Mizzou student-athletes, coupled with the assistance of the hard-working Mizzou Made staff, did a superb job transitioning to online learning to continue its well documented success in the classroom.
